EU AI ACT · ARTICLE 4 · ENFORCEMENT FROM 3 AUG 2026

AI literacy is now a legal duty. Get your project team to the standard.

Since February 2025, the EU AI Act has required organisations to ensure their staff are AI-literate. Open Learning AI is an annual membership that takes project managers and their teams from "we use ChatGPT sometimes" to a defensible, documented level of AI competence, built for the people who run real projects.

Article 4, in plain language

It is short, and it already applies to you if your team uses AI in its work.

The duty

Providers and deployers of AI systems must take measures to ensure their staff and anyone operating AI on their behalf have a sufficient level of AI literacy. If your project team uses AI tools, your organisation is a deployer.

The timeline

The obligation has applied since 2 February 2025, with no grace period. Supervision and enforcement powers begin 3 August 2026. The window to be able to show you took measures is now.

What "measures" looks like

Role-appropriate training, documented and kept current. For project managers that means knowing what the tools can and can't do, where the risks sit, and how to use them responsibly on real work, exactly what this membership delivers and records.

Professional training, not legal advice, not an official EU certification. It helps your team build and evidence AI literacy; your organisation remains responsible for its own compliance posture.

For the PM who's now responsible for "AI literacy"

You run actual projects

Construction, IT, infrastructure, operations, transformation. You manage scope, schedule, and stakeholders, and now, quietly, the question of whether your team is AI-literate to the standard has landed on your desk.

You own a team's readiness

You need something defensible: role-appropriate, documented, current. Not a generic one-hour e-learning module that ticks a box, but PMs who actually use AI well on live projects, with a paper trail that shows you took the obligation seriously.

One annual membership. Four things that compound.

1

The flagship course. The AI-Native PM foundation: the model landscape, the four modes of AI use, and CRISP, our structured prompting method, applied to real PM artifacts. Everyone starts here, so the whole community shares one vocabulary.

2

The compliance spine. A dedicated module on AI literacy to the standard your regulator expects: the EU AI Act, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO 42001, and disclosure norms, translated into what a project manager actually needs to do.

3

The module library. Self-paced modules (prompting craft, AI-connected tools, AI in agile ceremonies) that you draw on as the work demands, on your own schedule.

4

The community and its real-case demos. A close cohort of peers who present actual AI use cases from their own projects on a regular cadence; this is where the learning sticks and compounds. It starts with the founding cohort: reserve a seat and you're there from the start.

A new programme, and honest about it

Gabriel, founder and host

Open Learning AI is built around how good teams actually get better at AI: peers showing each other real cases, with a rigorous curriculum underneath and the compliance spine kept current. This founding cohort is the first time it runs.

What this is

  • An annual membership: flagship, compliance spine, module library, community
  • Built for traditional project managers, not software product managers
  • Founding price of €399, because you're first. Regular price is €700
  • Backed by a fully-refundable deposit: zero risk to reserve

What this isn't

  • Legal advice or an official EU certificate; it's professional training
  • A programme with thousands of alumni and a wall of testimonials, not yet, honestly
  • A generic "AI for everyone" course; it's project-manager-specific
  • A locked-in purchase; you reserve, you don't buy, until you're sure

Founding membership, reserve for €49

For yourself, or for your team. Reserve with the same fully-refundable €49 deposit.

Why a deposit, not full payment? Open Learning AI is a new programme. Before we open the founding cohort, we want to know real PMs and teams want it, and a small refundable deposit tells us that far better than a free signup. Reserve enough founding seats and we run it, with you first in. If not, every cent is refunded, automatically. You carry no risk; we do.

The things you're probably wondering

Does this make my organisation compliant with the AI Act?

Open Learning AI is professional training, not legal advice and not an official EU certification. Article 4 requires organisations to take measures to ensure staff AI literacy; role-appropriate training is one of those measures, and that's what this provides and documents. Your organisation remains responsible for its overall compliance; we make the training part defensible and current.

What exactly does the €49 get me right now?

It reserves your founding seat at the €399/year founding price (or your team's seats at €600/seat), and gives you a place in the founding cohort. It is not the membership fee; it's a refundable hold. When the cohort is confirmed, you complete enrolment and the €49 is credited toward your first year.

Is the deposit really refundable?

Yes, fully, any time before the founding cohort starts, no questions asked, one click. If we don't reach enough founding members to run it, every deposit is refunded automatically; you don't even have to ask.

When does the founding cohort start, and how long is my €49 held?

The founding cohort runs once enough founding seats are reserved, and we email every reservation holder the confirmed start date. Your €49 is never locked in while you wait: you can refund yourself with one click at any moment before the cohort starts, and if we decide not to run it, every deposit is refunded automatically.

Why a membership instead of a one-off course?

Because AI literacy isn't a "train once" problem. The tools change monthly and so does the regulatory guidance. Your membership keeps the curriculum, and your team's compliance posture, current, with a quarterly review of the compliance spine. The renewal buys currency, which is exactly what the obligation requires you to maintain.

How much time does the membership take?

It's built to fit around live projects. The flagship course gives everyone the shared base; the module library is self-paced, drawn on as the work demands; and the community's demo sessions run on a regular cadence, where you join the ones relevant to your projects. You set the pace, and your access runs the full membership year.

I'm not a software product manager. Is this for me?

It's built for you. Open Learning AI is for PMP-credentialed and traditional project managers: construction, IT, infrastructure, operations, transformation. Every other AI-for-PM programme targets software product managers; this one deliberately doesn't.

How does team billing and VAT work?

Team membership is invoiced per seat, and you can pay by invoice or PO. Prices are VAT-inclusive; payment is processed by Stripe, and the seller of record is Open Learning AI. You'll receive completion records for each seat to keep on file as evidence of the training measure.

What happens to my data?

We collect only what we need to hold your seat and contact you about the cohort, we ask for your consent before doing so, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Full details are in our Privacy Notice.

The obligation is already live. Enforcement starts in August 2026.
